BOAD is a boutique interdisciplinary design studio with projects ranging from buildings, interiors, dinnerware, and lighting where design and details are at the forefront. The studio’s design process is about exploration and achieving the desired emotional impact and functionality of each project; as well as how is it maintained, constructed, and functions in day-to-day use. Throughout the design process, we consider our environmental and cultural impact, the authenticity and beauty of our work, and the cost.

BOAD was started in 2011 by Benjamin Oliver. After spending a decade as a partner in a construction company Benjamin started BOAD to bring great design to his clients as well as maintaining creativity and constructability in the built environment. We achieve this partially through being intimately involved in each project and continuously communicating with contractors and tradesmen throughout the project to achieve exceptional design destails.
